FLIGHT SIMULATION

Our flight simulation division is concerned with the development of flight dynamic models (FDM) designed for pilot training as well as with the calculation of flight performance and the estimation the flying and handling qualities of aircraft in their design phase.

In addition to the obvious economical benefits of flight simulation in flight training, the division provides a realistic development platform for the above tasks. Furthermore, the models can be used for a non-linear optimization of automatic flight control systems.

Focal points:

• Estimation of the derivatives (CFD, PID, wind tunnel, analytical)
• Development of FDM-modules (aerodynamics, propulsion, ground model, flight control)
