AERODYNAMICS

In this division NFD is concerned with the aerodynamic design of aircraft. A variety of calculation tools are used reaching from semi-empirical and analytical methods to so-called CFD calculations. Additionally, in cooperation with our partners, we can define scaling laws for wind tunnel or free-flying models which allow for statements concerning the flight dynamics and performance of the original aircraft.
